I have applied for PR through FSWP. Appplied August 4th joint application with my common law partner. She just gave birth our son recently (born in Canada) and I know that we need to inform CIC of this. A couple of questions.
How do we inform CIC? By calling them up or can we do it by logging in online?
Do we need to wait for the child's birth certificate before we inform CIC? Child has been registered but the birth cert could take up to 3 weeks before we get it.

Please raise through CSE but CIC will request for birth certificate of the child as supporting document .. they normally ask for supporting documents to be uploaded within 30 days once CIC sends the request ..
CSE is case specific enquiry.. You have to write to cic customer service with your application number and inform them about the birth of your son. And upload the child's birth certificate and all other details in an attachment.
