A cousin of mine had his wife's sponsorship refused and he has left to his wife's country already.. and he wanted to know before he moves forward on what to do next and if his wife would be approved for a study permit or the new open work permit, his wife is a graduate and well educated, but he was telling me that usually they deny since they have premeditated negative thoughts about refused spouses applying for permit visa's. He couldn't find out so I am trying to.
any info would be appreciated.. and links would be helpful as well
His wife has already made her intentions to move to Canada permanently know. It's going to be very difficult for her to get a study permit.
I'm not sure what "new" open work permit you're refering to, but there is no basis for a spouse of a PR to get any work permit. She must find an employer to sponsor her, get a LMO, then she can apply for a work permit. However, again, CIC already knows she wants to move to Canada, so it will be difficult to satisfy the immigration officer she will leave at the end of her permit.
