I have applied under 7242(Industial Electrician). I have a 4 year diploma and 4 year 10 months of work experience.

First i will tell you what i have in mind:

I am in double thought as eventually i want to shift onto robotics(i have experience in this as well), and for doing this i will have to get higher education in Canada. I do not want to work just as an electrician.

Now what i have learnt from my search that in ontario to start working as an electrician, i have to follow this route (will go to Toronto)
http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/working/OI_HOW_WORK_INDELEC_CM.html
I fully understand the above link. now i want to ask is that although when i go there i will not have any certification. but while i am in the process of getting my certification, will be able to work in something similar to my trade to earn a living ?

So what should i do first.
1) Do my certification while doing small time jobs and become a Canadian electrician, then go towards higher education.

2) straight away go for higher education while doing small time jobs, as i think getting the electrical certification in also not easy.
