My cousins want to travel to the US next week so they dont have enough time to apply for their Canadian visitor visas from India itself, so is it possible to apply for the Canadian visitor visa while IN THE US so they can come visit me in Canada while on the US trip?
I read online that it's possible, but the main question is how long is the processing time? Some sites say it takes significantly longer, and some sites say you can get it in one day if you go to the Canadian embassy in US in person. So I have no clue on what's right and what's wrong!
And how much is the current processing time for applying from Mumbai, India itself?

Processing times varies from application to application. It could take longer if background checks are required and/or if additional information is sought from other visa offices.

Thanks for your response. Actually, they intend to fly next week so they don’t have enough time in India. They’ll be in US for 1.5 months. Also, the Canadian visas is for their 1.5 and 3 year old children actually, not themselves. They already have a Canadian visitor visa.
By one day processing in US, I meant 2-3 days. That’s what I read somewhere.
In fact, according to the CSC/VAC, your cousins must factor in at least 10-15 business days for visa stamping if they apply online/get passport requests when they're in the US

Canadian visa offices do not accept in-person TRV applications. Nor is there a faster option for US applications.
They can save a few days of processing time if they apply online before they leave India (India mailing address + evidence of ties to India + return tickets from US to India to prove they won't overstay their Canada visit) and then submit the passports in the US for visa stamping

Oh.. that sounds like a nice option... but are you allowed to apply from India and then submit passports in another country?? How would that work? Is there something specific they should be mentioning on their application then?
1. Scan the US B1/B2 visas of your nieces/nephews + any previous US entry stamp(s). Request for CAN+ expedited processing in the cover letters.
2. Include flights bookings of your cousins and the nieces/nephews from the US to India after the Canada visit + include a day-by-day itinerary of the Canada visit + passport copies of both parents + consent letter from the parent who is not applying on their behalf + proof of finances + scan your cousins' TRVs + additional evidence (cousins' leave approval letters + property/land ownership in India, etc to prove the kids must return with their parents)
