Indian pcc - do Original Documents required to send to BLS for PCC

Hi,
Does anyone know if original needs to send for pcc. I am sending my pcc application via postal mail to bls centre. I tried calling their customer care but they are not picking one after almost an hour wait.
Please advise if someone recently applied pcc via postal.

you dont need to send original documents to PCC. A copy of your documents will be suffice.

I did mine last year via purolator pickup and drop-off option in the BLS website.
