Hi,
We (my husband and I) received our PR status and my child is born in Canada. By birth, my child will be considered as Canadian citizen. But we are planning to return back to india permanently after few years due to personal reasons. In this situation we just came to know that for NRI we have to pay more schooling fees in india. How to solve the following problem.
1. I am not ready to pay fees in dollars when we are in india - so we should obviously get indian passport for the baby to be considered as indian citizen. In this situation how to get indian passport in Toronto how to register for that.?
2. If we get indian passport do we have to apply for CANADIAN VISA during the period of our stay to our newborn Canadian baby????
3. If we get indian passport for my baby how to return back to Canada after sometime if my baby wishes to return???? Will that be a problem.
didn't get Canadian passport nor indian passport.. Birth certificate is there, and that's it. We will be going back to india after few years and hence we gonna apply for indian passport. I need info how did they register and got indian passport from BLS what are all the documents submitted.
Check in BLS website for details Or visit their office. But better to apply for Canada passport and get OCI or PIO for India visit. If you are going for Indian passport then you need to apply Canada visit visa or PR for your child.
