Indian Marriage Date

I am getting married the end of this month.
We don't plan to register the marriage immediately but a couple of weeks later, next month.

For example, if marriage ceremony is 20th August and actual registration is 7 Sept, when should I update my EE profile and what should I enter my marriage date.
