Indian engineering Diploma 3 years equals Canada engineering Diploma 2 years?

Hello Friends,

I just want to know that why Indian Engineering Diploma of 3 years is considered 2 years Engineering Diploma in Canada? I have asked may WES assessed diploma holders. they all considered 2 years.
any special reason?

I am asking because in same scenario, Indian engineering degree holder 4 years course equivalent to same 4 years degree of Canada.

I have done 3 years diploma after 12th
For Wes what documents do I need to send to prove I have done after 12?
It’s hard to get 12th transcript.
