Indian citizenship renunciation in USA

Hi All - I acquired Canadian citizenship few months back and would like to renounce Indian citizenship and apply OCI. However, I am currently in USA on a project. Has anyone done that ? Can I renounce Indian citizenship from US ? Anything to keep in mind while doing os ?

My guess is you would also need to provide proof of your status in USA as additional document. You can call vfs (who handles surrender/oci in usa) in your jurisdiction to confirm the documentation.

Sorted out. Did have an interview. Interview was easy. Don’t recall what all they asked.
