India PCC from US alternatives.. Address in passport is not current

Hi Friends,

I have been considering what to do for getting my India PCC and need some input from you..

I have been working in US for 4 years now. Before this, I was in Hyderabad for rent for 8 years.

The passport has hyderabad address but dont have anyone to verify. I have permanent address in Chennai where my parents live.

I heard about same day PCC is available only if passport is issued in that embassy in US (I need to apply to Houston).

Where will the police verify and what option is best in this case? Please help!

I was in the same situation - just submitted my request in Atlanta embassy today. I was asked to fill the current address where parents/relatives stay in India - so I think you can do the same. Same day service is not offerred in Atlanta - they told me minimum 1 week or longer since the address is different.

I said what about other consulates who offer same day and was said that's the procedure here
