Incompatibilities Working Holiday Visa & FSWP (Express entry)?

I am totally decided to live in Canada;
So I have been looking through two main options:

- FSWP (express entry): that allows a visa to me and to my common-law partner
- Working Holiday Visa: that does not give a VISA to my common-law and she cannot apply for it because she had already used it.

So, my question is: if I apply to the WHV and they give it to me; and later, on June for example, I apply to FSWP meanwhile I DON´T HAVE MY WHV ACTIVATED (because you have 1 year to enter the country), can they give me the FSWP visa? The porpouse is to garantee a VISA but I prefer FSWP rather than WHV and the WHV will be open for me soon, meanwhile; I need some more documents for the FSWP proccess, so I cannot apply until May
