INCOME TAX RETURN - PLS HELP

Hi
I have shown a work experience of 10 years in my Express Entry Profile since 2007.
While I have managed to gather almost all Form 16s, I do not have the IT Returns prior to Assessment year 2010-11.
Please guide me as to what is the alternative and what should I do.
How important is an Income tax return in this case.

ITRs are not required to be submitted as long as you have the reference letter(s) in the required format.

Regarding the reference letter, what if my relieving letter from each employer mentions my designation, duration of employment etc. Do I still need to get a reference letter.
If yes then please specify the format of the reference letter.

Yes, you still need the reference letter as you need a document that states your duties and responsibilities along hours worked per week.
