Income requirements to sponsor the spouse

Hello , This is Navneet Kaur and I'm the Permanent Resident of Canada Since January 2017. I recently got married in November 2017 and I am still living Back home and will be going back to Canada soon. My question is , Is there any income requirement or job requirement if i want to sponsor my spouse to canada ? I quit my job when i came to India and now its been more than 4 months that i am here in India only . I am concerned when i will apply for my husband spouse visa in canada , do i have to show the job offer letter too ? Please help me out. I am so confused. Thanks in advance.

There is no income requirement, but you will have to show proof that you can support your spouse without assistance from the government.

You (sponsor) also can't be receiving social assistance.

There is no income requirement, but you will have to show proof that you can support your spouse without assistance from the government.

Spousal sponsorship is a long process and you have to return to Canada to sponsor him. Make sure when you return you get a job and find somewhere to live so you can show you are in a stable financial position.

1) Spousal sponsorship has no income requirements
2) refused visa has no impact on PR application.

Need help

1. There is no minimum income requirement. However, you will need to show a solid plan on how you will support yourselves in Canada without welfare. This can be through savings, family assistance, income potential etc.

2. As long as the refusal is fully declared, it isnt an issue.
