hey guys, i have sponsored my mom through the PGP application and now might have to sponsor a spouse in future (if and when i get married). i wanted to know the income requirement in this case as i had already sponsored my mom. do i need to show an annual income of $33000 for sponsoring the spouse after i had sponsored my mother?

There is no LICO for spouse sponsorship. You only need to show you aren’t receiving social assistance and that you can support your family without government support. Think 33k for a family of 2 was only for one year during the pandemic. You need significantly more to support a family. You should be aware that if your mother ends up in longterm care, for example, you would be responsible for the monthly bed fee which is usually 1-1.5k/month. There are a lot of expenses when you get older. Many things are not covered or only partially covered. B you should be preparing for potential expenses.
