In Ontario, does the pregnant woman have to pay for tests in the first 3 months?

Our application recently got approved, and my wife just found out that she's pregnant, we are settling in Toronto.
so do we have to pay for pregnancy related tests in the first 3 months? How much would that be? Any with the same situation?
Thanks in advance!

It's too late since she is already pregnant. An insurance company won't cover costs related to pregnancy since it is now an existing condition. They will need to pay for everything out of their own pocket.

She can always be attended by midwives free of charge if she is out of status or awaiting her residence.
Hi, I was just at a walk in clinic in Toronto so I thought I would share with you, the only thing I found that may be applicable to you: prenatal consult - $150.
I remember inquiring way back when I wasn't covered, I was looking for a birth control prescription and I was told that just to go see a doctor for a quick 10 min chat, blood pressure measuring, and get the prescription would have costed $100++ as well.
Not sure how often you have to see the doctor when you're pregnant, but here is the website if you want to call them for more information: http://www.wellone.ca/
Can you manage with just a midwife? Maybe that's worth looking in to if money could be an issue.
Double congratulations on approval and the pregnancy by the way
