Hi every I'm newbie in here, I need your opinion guys. On sept 23 my work per will expire as live in care giver and plan to extend with same employer. By august I'm planning to get married with my Canadian fiancé. By the first week of sept I already have 91 weeks since I arrived last dec 11, 2011 and I work 44 hrs a week. My question is: I will submit my PR app on september, while waiting on my OWP can I move out in my employers house since I already done my 3900 hrs of but still I continue working with them as live out. On that situation it will not affect on my PR app since that time still waiting for OWP. Hope someone can give their opinion and knowledge about my case. Thanks
Your work permit says you are live-in so as far as I know, you would be in breach of your work permit if you live-out. However, if you apply for PR under the live-in caregiver program and apply for an open work permit at the same time, once you get the open work permit, you can do anything you want.
You can't move out until you recieve your open work permit. As Leon explained, if you move out earlier, you will be in breach of your work permit and this could create problems for your status in Canada.
