Hi
I read dozens of threads and could not find any recent decision on in-laws application. Has anyone applied recently and can share the decision and which VO processed the application. This application is for the parents of the spouse of a Canadian citizen. The spouse has valid OWP and CSQ and sponsorship application (inland) in progress. On June 8, CBSA posted on their website that parents or step-parents of the spouse are exempt from travel restrictions and only need to stay in Canada for a minimum of 15 days (plus quarantine plan).

Don't think these parents meet the restrictions. They are parents on OWP holder.

I wasn't asking if they meet the restrictions because they do. The parents of the spouse of a Canadian citizen are exempt. I just wanted to know if someone in that situation got TRV.

Would you mind showing me where It says that. I only see parent or step-parent of a Canadian.

The exemption was given by the Government therefore the order cannot be enforced in part by one agency and in full by another. I haven't applied yet as I am preparing the application but I will share the outcome once a decision is reached.
