I had recently submitted an application for my wife's PR (in-land) while she is here for a visit. The application was returned because we did not attach her birth certificate. Her visa expires on Dec 21, 2018, and we have not applied for an extension yet.
1 - I will be submitting her application with the birth certificate on Nov 29th. At the same time, can I send the visa extension application, stating that my wife has the (in-land) application in process?
2 - There is a Form 5049 on the extension document checklist, is it mandatory to fill that form out as well?
3 - Her Police Certificate have expired 2 days before she entered Canada, I have provided an explanation in this regard and we were not able to get a new police certificate since she is not living in her home country at the moment, is that going to be a problem?
Yes, I did send out the extension application and will be resending the PR application on Dec 3rd.
I'm assuming if the PR application is accepted for a process, we will be notified, which would reassure that my wife can stay with "implied status" past Dec 21st (her visa expiry date) until the PR decision is made, correct?
with the visitor visa extension application....your spouse has implied status, not until a decision is made on the visitor visa extension application your spouse has implied status......inland sponsorship does not grant implied status....you get implied status if you also applied for OWP with inland sponsorship and if as at the time the OWP application is received the principal applicant had status......that's why applicants are advised to include OWP with inland sponsorship and also apply for visitor visa extension to remain in status

Yes, we did put the OWP application together with the PR application. Visa extension app is already sent out.
As for the proof of relationship documents, what do you think is sufficient proof to them to not ask for more documents or possible send in the request for the interview?
I have been reading and hearing that provide as much as you can, not only what the checklist says.

IN the checklist it says when you are providing your photographs, it must have the name and DOB on the back of each picture. Is it just for the principal applicant or for the sponsor's too?
