Hello, my partner is currently in process of sponsorship me inland under common - law. My PGWP is expiring in a few months. If I apply for an OWP with the PR application, would I've maintained status to keep working until a decision is made?

Yes, you'll have implied status and will be able to continue working.

Make sure you apply for spousal sponsorship + OWP visa paper vs. online so that you can submit the OWP together with the sponsorship application.
