Hi, I sent my passport to Ottawa last week as per CIC's request to stamp it with a TRV. They received it last Friday May 5. I enclosed a prepaid return envelope as well and I haven't heard back from them.
I was just wondering how long it takes for them to stamp it and return it because I haven't gotten any updates from my CIC account nor from the tracking of the return envelope.
When I applied from my home country it basically took 1 day before they sent it back to you so I'm not very sure when I would hear back from them.

You won't be "hearing from them". Check the tracking status. Depending on your carrier, the tracking might delay from hours to days to activate. Some never do.

Is this an inland TRV application (on a work or study permit) or not?
Just to share, I had a visa processed in my home country but asked to be stamped in Ottawa. When I checked my GCMS notes, it showed that my stamping took longer than usual it took some time for Ottawa to get a reply from my home VO about my approved application.
