Hi all,
I am looking for a clarification here but needs to be sure about what anyone answers. I am living in UK for 3 months now. Previously, I was in the US for 5 years. This implies that I would need a police certificate from the US state. CIC website suggests that they may ask for new certificate again at the time of processing. But if i am not living in the US anymore, would they still require a new certificate or the same certificate should be fine. As i am not living in the US, the police character certificate should not be any different now or after 3 years.
Any one ??
They may not ask for USA again. But they may ask for your present country if the stay is more than 6 months.
even then u hv to give a new pcc......is weird process
You must get a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18.
The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.
You need to apply for a new one.

in this situation...isnt it always better to apply for PCC after you get a request from Visa officer?
what if we get the PCC too early, and by the time VO sees that, the PCC is already expired...

Very right!!! I did the same and submitted the PCC when asked by the VO.

If you received your AOR from the visa office processing your application and you have a File number you can send your PCC before the visa office requests it.
