I moved to Vancouver as part of my work for a few months, so I didn't bring my car from the USA. Now I am planning to stay here longer. I have some doubts regarding importing car on work permit.
i) My friend who is a GreenCard holder, is planning to drive my car across the border to give it to me. Is that allowed ? If yes, what all documents he needs to carry ?
ii) What are my other options to ship the car from the USA to Canada ? ( Back up plan, just in case if my friend couldn't drive that long)
iii) What are the important things I need to do right after I receive my car, for example emission test, registration etc ?
iv) I am planning to put my car on Turo ( it is a peer-to-peer car sharing company, just like Airbnb). Am I allowed to get rental income from my car on closed work permit ? If not, can I register my car under my wife's name who has open work permit ?
