I'm in Canada and trying to switch from Work Permit to Study Permit.
My WP will ends in December 2017 and I'm applying for a SP for a school program that will start in April 2018.

How does it works?
I got my WP at the border when I arrived, but now that I'm inside Canada?
Will I receive my permit at home saying that it will be valid from April 2018 ?

my health insurance will cover me from December to April anyway because I will be in implied status ?
Do I have to advise MSP now, or when I receive the SP ?

I'm afraid in the case that I receive the SP after the end of the WP (in February for example) my MSP would be ended, and I have to re-sign again (instead of extend it) and wait again the 3 months of waiting list ?

Thanks for the help !
