Immigration with domestic connecting flights

Hi I’m immigrating to Canada through Vancouver, however I have another domestic flight to Toronto. Will a 2 hour layover be enough? What happens if I miss my flight ? Do I need to grab my luggage and recheck in or will the process be more autonomous?

If it's enough time, it'll be tight. If you miss your flight due to immigration, Air Canada will try to fit you onto the next one. There are many YVR-YYZ flights a day.

You are required to collect your bags and re-check them. At the YVR international arrivals hall, there is an expedited process to re-check bags.
