I have been in Canada for 2.5 years with Canadian PR. I recently got married. My spouse has filed for Canadian immigration under skilled catagory before our marriage and her file is under process with CHC , New Delhi, India at present.
I have questions related with immigration process and sponsership.
1) What shall we do with the present file which is under process with CHC in India?
(a) Shall we withdraw the current file and reapply from India.
(b) Can she update the file with CHC, India informing them about our marriage.
(c) Shall She withdraw the file, and, then I sponser her from Canada.
a) There is no need to withdraw the application and apply again.
b) She can and should inform CIC that she got married.
c) That depends on when she applied and how long you assume it will take to process. If she's getting close to finishing, she might as well keep her application running. If you think it's going to be a while yet and sponsorship would be faster, you can go for sponsorship.
did she apply for the new FSW program? if yes, her application can take the same amount of time it can take for sponsorship depending on visa office you would apply for her sponsorship. and taking in consideration that she has already applied for FSW it can be even faster than to withdraw and apply for sponsorship now.
