Hi All,
I posted a couple of weeks ago about an Express Entry and moving into Canada. I have a few questions on moving to Québec vs Ontario in regards to Permanent Residence. I know the Express Entry Visa is based on a point system and one has to take a language test to apply. I have a couple of questions about how this would compare to the Skilled Worker program Québec has to offer.
  1. The Express Entry program only accepts a limited number of people a year, is this the same as the skilled worker program that Québec offers?
  2. I speak pretty decent French and plan on being intermediate to advanced in the next year or so, are language tests required such as the TEF when applying for the SW in Québec?
  3. I cannot really find a list of requirements needed to apply and be approved into the Skilled Worker program in Québec. I see that you have to submit a medical exam and a police report. Has any one had any experiences with these and do other family members that are not going to Canada have to take the medical exam as well?
  4. What other requirements are there to be considered for the Skilled Worker program in Québec?
  5. Would there be a greater chance of being selected, considering you have the work experience, education, and language requirements versus applying for the Express Entry into Ontario?
For some reason I cannot find as much information on immigrating into Québec compared with the rest of Canada. It seems to be a point based system as well, but not as strict. Any responses are highly appreciated.
