Hi, I am from China and my wife is from Canada. We are both PhDs and my education is from China. We are both working in Europe now and my wife is a non-resident of Canada now. We are planning to move to Canada. I am wondering which way is easiest way for our situation, I mean, what kind of immigration process? We are planning to settle in Canada. We do not want to handle long-time waiting or even being-apart for long time (months to years). Thanks.

Having your spouse sponsor you is probably your best option.

Thanks for the suggestion. To do that, my wife has to move back to Canada and find a job first and she can apply to sponsor me. The application processing time I saw is something about 11 months. I think it is a little too long and we may need to be apart for some while. Sorry if I have some misunderstandings here.
If your wife is a Canadian citizen, she can apply from outside Canada, so long as she provides proof of her intent to reside in Canada once your PR is approved.

Thanks for the information. We will look into it.
