Hey Folks,
I'm submitting an application to sponsor my husband in the family class, and submitting 8 'visa style' photos as requested on the CIC website for each member of our family. Does any know if we are supposed to write anything on the back of the photos (i.e. name, date of birth, date of photo, place of photo) and if so, should I write it on every copy? I've check through the site and can't find out for sure.
Thanks!
Lynda
See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp - Part 3: Information Guides. Choose the guide specific to the country of citizenship for the principal applicant. If the photos need anything written on the back of them it will say so in the relevant guide.
The guide doesn't say anything about writing on the back, but I'm wary that they won't identify: which photos are of whom, and when/where they were taken. Surely they want to know the photos are recent?

I was the only person in my application so I did not have this concern (plus in the application they have a copy of my passport page and my spouses passport page).
If you want you could put each family members' photos in an envelope and write their name on the front.
In my wife and step-sons PR application, they wanted names, birthdays, and date the photos were taken written on the back. If you're concerned about it, write the names of each person on the back, shouldn't really hurt anything. Also, as was said already, you give them copies of passport pages so they technically know who's who.
