Hello everyone. I am new to this forum.

I am a bit confused when completing the generic form.

For number 4 "Immigration Office requested for processing this application".

Can someone tell me what office name I should write? In the guide it says "Do not select the CIO as the immigration office requested to process your application". But I will eventually have to mail it to CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Please let me know! Thank you very much.

Oh btw I am living in Toronto for 4 years now.

Hi Brithekop

Welcome ;D

This is what the guide says,

" Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:

•your country of nationality, or
•the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one year.

You can check the immigration office using the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

Hi Hopefulagain, I thank you for replying to my thread. :)

I hope you can help me again :) So I have been living in Toronto for 4 years now, thus I check the table under Canada, not from my country of nationality.

It says Buffalo, New York for the visa office but in the application kit it says that I will need to send my application to Sydney, Nova Scotia. This is making me confused! :(

You have to mail to CIO, Sydney but our Visa Office would be Buffalo, NY......confusing, yes but also right.

Got your message! But it seems that I can't personal message you on this forum. Message me again with your contact details! For sure, it is easier to discuss! :)
