My family and I just recently got the PR for Canada, and we were in India, so we had to travel to Canada to get our PR cards. For travelling, the embassy demanded that we redo our medical examination before travelling. We did the test at SPS hospital Ludhiana. My family's medical got clear expect my sister. They first told us that she will have to appear for a x-ray test and wait for the result for 2.5 months. After 2.5 months they said she has some spots on her chest and want to test her for TB. Then after the TB test got negative, saying that she doesn't have any problem, the doctor said that even though the test for TB is negative, we still need to do a CT scan as she has an active disease. I don't know what basis the doctor is forcing us to go through another test when we already know the results are negative. They then said after CT scan they will do her bronchoscopy test. My dad is himself a doctor, so he consulted another chest doctor and went for a CT scan there even though we didn't need to. This chest specialist said that all the reports are fine and the spots that the other doctor is talking about are nothing but healing spots/fibroids, from extreme coughing when she was a child and there are no symptoms of TB. The bronchoscopy test is very difficult and scary and my sister doesn't want to go through it and they are demanding 15k fee for the test. The doctor at SPS said that after the test they will treat her for six months and then she will have her medical exam cleared. My sister has no symptoms for that disease so there's no way she will take medicine for something that she isn't even suffering from and during this chaos the doctor uploaded all the reports to the embassy and now her study permit also got deactivated and she can't travel unless she clears her medical. This will impact her studies as she is already a year behind. I think the doctors are harassing us at this point just for the, as there are no symptoms of TB, and they still keep saying that she has it and needs to get treated. Is there any way we can get out of this situation? We have tried consulting other panel physicians, but they have refused any help and as much as I know she can't renew her medical until December, meaning she will have to wait another 6 months but that's just going to impact her studies.
