Applied for study permit. My parent had applied for immigration to canada 2 years ago. We did not get it but now I'm applying alone for study permit. Will it be rejected as immigration was rejected?

Yes, your chances to be rejected are high. Not because of the previous rejection but because of INTENTIONS to immigrate to Canada.

The previous rejection and intent to migrate is on your record, but you can overcome it by making your study permit application strong by demonstrating good previous academic background (good grades et cetra) and related work experience if any and by applying to a good canadian university (preferably the top 5) and applying for a course that goes with profile and demonstrate home ties. Write a strong SOP as well. That might work out in your favor. Good luck
