Hello.
I am from Macedonia 28 years old and I was trying to find a way to immigrate to Canada, live and work in Canada. So i started to search how this process goes.First what I found was that Canada faces truck driver shortage and foreign truck drivers are needed. This was good news for me because I have worked as a truck driver in Scandinavia,Sweden-Denmark-Norway,and i realy like this job to be a truck driver.

So to work in Canada first I need job offer from Canadian company, and that company must obtain document from LMO that the company could not find canadian worker and needs to hire foreign worker.Documents that I need to have are:
birth certificate,
document from court that i have not done any crime and that there is no process against me,
clean driving licence B,C,CE category,
diploma from high school and university, and all documents need to be translated to english by official macedonian-english translator. And I also need IELTS test which I have not taken yet.
Then with all this documents i can go to Embassy of Canada and apply for work permit

So I start to search for truck driver job in Canada, and all trucking companies where saying "No foreign drivers, can not sponsor...".
I found only two companies that hire foreign drivers and one of them was very good:
"Below are just a few of the things that we offer to our foreign workers:
Hotel accommodation provided for the first two weeks
On payroll from the first week with guaranteed wage
Full assistance in your resettlement, including advice on Property,Licensing,Social Insurance and Medical
Extensive Driver Trainer Program, including approximately 20 hours of free driving lessons prior to taking your Canadian Class1 road test
Airfare to Canada is covered (*Driver only)....."
When I rode this it was like wooow exactly what i was looking for,and i made contact with them and they reply me very fast, but the answer was..."Thank-you for your query however all LMIA positions have been filled"... and that hurt :(

That was my story :P and if any of you can help me like some new info or something,I will really appreciate that.I have also found that there are some jobs that do not require LMO but I don't know which jobs.btw I only need a job to go to Canada for year or two and then I maybe can apply for pnp and after that if I get Permanent Rezident i can find job that i realy like.
p.s. sry for mistakes my english is not very good

FYI - It now costs employers $1,000 to get an approved LMIA (and that's with no guarantee of approval). So it's much more difficult these days to find a willing employer.
