IMM5491 Document checklist - section 17, 18 , 19.

Hi All,
I am almost in a verge of submitting my spousal application.
Just a quick info needed on

IMM5491 - Document checklist

I could able to understand the checklist point, however little confused on

Section: 17, 18 and 19.

i am employed and have employment letter.
have 12 months of Pay stubs/Proof of income.
no common law partner.
No Option C, as i recently came here and joined the company.


In this case can you please let me know
what to check/not to check in the document check list

Do I need to check/mark Yes for all 17,18 ,19 or pls suggest.

17. You can not check this part since you don't have the tax assessment to show option C.

18. You can check this part as you indicted that you have a letter of employment and pay stub.

19.

a – yes you can put a check here since you have that part.
b – no, because you are not self employed.
C – check yes, if you have a bank statement print out.
D – check yes ONLY if you have any of those thing listed.


Include in your file showing how you will be able to support the person you are trying to sponsor once they are in Canada.

You are welcome.

The important thing you want to take away from that check list is that you should try to gather up as much financial statement evidence that you have, and prove that you can support the person you are sponsoring. It will make for a stronger case when you have the financial evidence to back that up.
