I am slightly confused with the way the IMM5476 form needs to be filled out. I just want to be able to call on behalf of my wife to CIC when needed. I still want to leave the mailing address the same as my wife on form IMM0008. If I put down my name on the IMM5476 form do I sign both the Representative and Spouse parts and have my wife sign the Applicant part?
Does the mailing addresses for both IMM0008 and IMM5476 have to match?
The guide for IMM0008 states the following:
If you wish to have a representative who can conduct business on your behalf, you must provide their address in this section and on the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form.

I understood from your statement you are willing to represent for your wife. Normally cic may call you sponsor for verification whether you are in canada or not. (Personally i didnt hear any one getting that call)
and your wife for address verification in your native country or for interview which she needs to go if there is.
Until you have a thirdparty lawyer or some one to represent you you dont need to fill this IMM5476 . Either you can get an access to your wifes email to makesure all communications from cic are noted and appropriate action taken or create new email address in her name for cic communication.
I’m a sponsor, a naturalized Canadian citizen living in Canada, I finished IMM 1344& IMM 5532. My wife is Vietnamese living in Vietnam, she finished IMM 0008, 5406, 5669, we ourself do applications without a representative ( lawyer). I want CIC to send correspondences to me ( sponsor living in Canada).
My question is ‘ should my wife fill out IMM 5476 Use for Representative ?’ To authorize me to get feedback from CIC
In checklist section, I put ‘ NOT APPLICANLE’ beside this
Please help me, I’m really confused
