Silly question - on the IMM1344E form (application to sponsor) it asks if there is a co-signer for the application and states that the co-signer has to be a spouse of common-law of the sponsor. I assume that the principal applicant that I am sponsoring (my husband) cannot also be my co-signer?
Second question - does the Option C printout have to be the most recent Option C printout from the last taxable year? For example, I haven't filed my taxes for the year of 2012 as of yet but I have my Option C printout for 2011, is this acceptable?

You don't need a co-signer to sponsor your spouse. In the case that you would sponsor other dependents and needed to meet a minimum income requirement then your spouse would have to co-sign.
And yes, the old Option C is okay. Depending on your situation you might want to include pay stubs from this year.

You cannot have a co-signer for spousal. So put N/A. Also yes, 2011 is okay, as long as you apply before May/June. If you apply May/June or later, then you would need the 2012 one.
