IMM0008 Gen - Details of Family Members

OK I have a questions, I am submitting the visa application on behalf of my wife (person being sponsored) and in the section that says "Details of Family Members", does my wife have to put in my name and all my information. I am a Canadian born citizen.

I was told by some people since I am sponsoring my wife I do not need to put that information in.

Any help? PMM?

The instructions on that page, pertaining to that question, say, "You must provide the details of each of your family members . . . . who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada."
