IMM 5604 - Custody agreement?

My question is i already have a IMM 5604 signed by my sons mom, but we were never married so do i still need to get a Custody agreement also to submit along with the form? As its states "if divorced or separated from the other parent, also include a copy of any custody related document". So is it specific to only married couples?

No you don't unless you were married. If you just shared children then only the above signed form is ok
