Hi all,

I am a Canadian living in the UK. My husband is English and we had a baby in England. I am completing the online application to get proof of Canadian citizenship for our baby. I am at the document upload screen where it's asking for a IMM 5476 (consent of a representative) as a required document to upload. How do I fill this out? My child isn't old enough to sign the document (section D). Do I sign on their behalf? Or do I upload a letter saying I'm the biological parent and the child isnt using a paid representative? I've looked everywhere and 50% of the people say it's needed, 50% say it's not needed. The government website isnt clear. I've also emailed the Canadian embassy and IRCC and there's no clarity/response.

Thank you!

Hi arunb8670, I am in a similar situation. Did you end up saying you are a representative and filled in the IMM5476?
Thanks
