Does anybody know IMM 1000 & IMM 5292 are same or two different documents. I have a brother living in Canada and CHC london says to prove the relationship I need to provide photocopy of his record of landing(IMM1000), confirmation of permanent residence or permanent resident card.
He has sent me copy of his permanent resident card and IMM5292 (confirmation of permanent residence) but not IMM 1000.
What is IMM 1000 and how he can get IMM 1000??
Also IMM 5292 is a carbon copy issued at airport. Is that ok to send photocopy of carbon copy???

Immigrants who came to Canada before 2002 will have an IMM 1000 rather than a IMM 5292. Immgrants who have not left Canada who landed before 2002 may not have the Permanent Residence Card.
