IMM 0008 - Validate without filling in date fields?

I tried to put today's date there, but it wouldn't let me, says it needs to be a future date. All I can think of then is that they want the date that my visitor status expires.. 6 months from last entry?

Just bringing up this old topic as I am currently experiencing the same issue.
Should the TO date be the signed date or the status expiry date?

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME?
I HAVE ALMOST COMPLETE ALL FORMS FOR MY SPOUSE AND I HAVEN SEEN ITS MENTION THAT THE FORMS SHOULD HAVE VALIDATION BUTTON ON THE TOP,,,BUT THE FORMS I HAVE DOWNLOAD ITS DOENST SHOW ANY THING LIKE THAT AND I DOWNLOAD ALL FORMS AS PDF PLZ ANYONE CAN GUIDE ME WITH THIS CONFUSION
