I'm going through the "Part 3: Country specific Instructions" to make sure I have everything I need to send in my application.
23-27 say "blah blah blah As per the documentlist provided with The Immigrant's Guide"
When I refer to Guide 3999 step 1 is "gather documents" where I am told to use the appropriate document checklist, "which you can find in Part 3: Country Specific Instructions"
Tell me where I'm going wrong here - I'm ready to facepalm when I find out!
It's not completely clear what you are asking. If you are asking where the country specific instructions are, they can be found here (you obviously have to pick the right one for your country):
The country-specific instructions (in my case, as a UK citizen, Imm 3901E) says that the sponsored person and family members need to include:
Identity and civil status documents
Children information
Travel documents and passports
Proof of relationship to sponsor
Originals of police certificates and clearances
under each item it says "As per document list provided with The Immigrant's Guide" (3999)
When you look at the immigrant's guide 3999 (page 9) it says "What documents are required?" and refers me to IMM 3901E which in turn tells me to refer to 3999.
Assuming you are applying outland, you want to include everything covered in the country specific checklist as well as the Document Checklist (IMM 5491).
Provide birth certificates, baptismal certificates, national identity card or certificate (Cedula) where available, or other official document confirming relationship (including all pages of Household Registries) for you and each of your family members.
If you are married, you must include a marriage certificate. If you are now divorced, you must include final divorce certificates; if separated, a separation certificate. If your marriage was annuled, a copy of the annulment. If your former spouse or common-law partner is deceased, you must include your spouse’s or partner’s death certificate. Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate or Immigrant or Permanent Resident Visa for any family members who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
If you are in a common-law or conjugal relationship, provide proof of that relationship.
