Hi! I need help! Im a canadian citizen living in venezuela. Im married,my wife is portuguese. We have a son born in Venezuela. I need to go soon to Canada but my son doesnt have a visa and i have no time to get one to him becausa canadian consulate in Venezuela is closed so theres some kind of office that sends the paperwork to canadian consulate in mexico. My question is: can i travel to canada with my 1 year old child without a visa? I can carry with me his birth certificate with an Haya apostille to prove that he is my legal son! I need help as soon as posible because i have to go to canada very soon and i dont want to leave my wife and child in venezuela....specially with the hard situation that the country is having right now! Thanks for your hell!

No - these documents won't be sufficient to travel with your son. The airline won't accept them and won't let your son board the airplane for Canada. I would recommend you apply for a temporary passport: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/travel-documents/temporary.asp

Is your son a Canadian citizen? This would depend on how you yourself got your citizenship.

If your son is not a citizen, then he would need to apply for and get approved for a TRV to visit Canada. If this is refused you can also apply for a TRP. If that is also refused, then there is no way to have him go to Canada unless you sponsor him for PR.
