I'm applying for spousal sponsorship from inland. After receiving the open work permit (OWP), if I have to leave Canada for a few weeks, I understand that there is a risk that my re-entry may get rejected, in which case my whole inland application would be effectively nullified. But will the OWP become invalid, too?

In this hypothetical situation, OP already has a TRV or eTA and has been refused entry despite having a sponsorship app in process, which is very rare. A second entry attempt soon after is also likely to result in refusal.

In this case, would I be legally allowed to work remotely (from outside Canada) for a Canadian company/institute, then? (Assuming that Canadian company/institute itself has no problem with me working remotely for them). Thanks!
