As mentioned in the title, I already have a valid TRV (under student category). Now I have only applied for study permit, so will it get a PPR or I will just get the study permit on GCKey?

Edit - I got my TRV when i visited Canada for my research work but as my stay was less than 6 months, I just had to get an TRV. I was told by IRCC that need not to apply for a fresh TRV. So, in this case, I will just get my study permit or a PPR again?

As long as you TRV is valid, you need not to worry about. Study permit is a different application, you will be judged as fresh application depending on the documents you provided: acceptance letter, proof of funds etc..
Once you get your study permit , you can extend your TRV before it expires.

Thanks for your reply. I asked this because VACs in my country have stopped sending PPRs. But given that I already have a TRV, they will not be sending me a PPR, right? And they'll only issue me a study permit?
