I have applied for a permanent residence to CIC under the PNP category last July, and I applied for BOWP a couple of weeks ago as my work permit is set to expire on 20 June, 2015.
The decision has not been made on my BOWP application, but I am wondering if my application for BOWP was refused/rejected for some reasons two or three months before my original work permit expires, would my original work permit be still valid until its expiry date? Or would I be out of status with my original work permit?

I think you applied early. I believe BOWP is for those whose work permit is expiring in 4 months. So if your work permit is expiring on June 20 and you applied couple weeks back, calculating the timeline you applied before 4 months. (This is just my thought).
But even if it does get rejected. your old work permit will still be valid

I applied for BOWP around early March which is within 4 months before the work permit expires. Anyway I appreciate you for answering my question! It is great to hear that my original work permit will be alive even after bowp is rejected.
