Speaking =7.0 band
Listening =6.0 band

@UKTOCA:
your agent is right. You'll only be getting 16 points, i.e., 4 points per ability.
In the current system, you'll only be getting either of 16, 20 or 24 points
Good Luck!
Sorry, points depend upon ur score which may be 19,20,21,etc
Its not restricted to 3 figures

coolguy2010, my earlier reply was based on the link in CIC website. For whatever reasons, the forum is not allowing me to post the link here.
In the CIC website, got to "Determine your eligibility" and then "Find out about language testing"
Cheers!
wwx.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp
check that.
Your agent is wrong
Speaking =7.0 band +6 points
Listening =6.0 band +4 points
Reading =6.5 band + 5 points
Writing =6.0 band + 4 points
Your score is 19
Had it been 16 or 20 or 24, then the box at the bottom of the page would be not given that way!
In continuation with my earlier post, however for second language it is 0 or 4. Check the box at the bottom of the page again.
Similarly, for Experience, it is mentioned as 11 points for 2-3 years and 13 points for 4-5 years. It doesn't meant 3-4 years have 0 points.

Dyas, your way of calculation is wrong.
He is scoring 19 points
We need to add points for each ability and not as a whole :
cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp
you know more than your consultant
you are paying to consultant for what ? who does not know this basic calculation also

I am more confused based on above post and my agent's calculation. Moreover i can not find such explanation in CIC website. It is very tricky.
I hope I will get some more info for my IELTS point calculation for you guys.
UK Kumar
It has always been individual module scoring in Canadian Immigration. Australian Immigration has either 10 for scoring 7 in each, or 20 points for scoring 8 in each. Canadian Language proficiency is lenient in awarding points.
It is per individual module scoring.
19 Points based on your IELTS score.
Pls ignore dynaus post
