IELTS Score Question

Hello Members,

I have the following scores in IELTS. I read in this forum's thread that, all sections need score of 7 to be eligible to Express Entry. Is that true ?

Overall Band 7.5
Listening 8.5
Reading 7.0
Writing 6.5
Speaking 8.5

Hi svj,

From what I understand, the minimum requirement is CLB level 7 for all modules. This is not the same as IELTS band 7.

Take a look at the IELTS equivalent to CLB on the Language Test Equivalency charts page on the CIC website (I can't post a link).

Based on your IELTS scores, it looks like you will be eligible.

Thanks. According to the IELTS and CLB mapping, I stand at 8-9, thats good.

You need to have IELTS 6 in all (LRWS) to qualify for Express Entry. You are clearly qualified.
