hi everyone...can anyone tell me about the IELTS score band needed for pharmacists who have applied for PR in 2007...one of my friend has applied in 2007 and his profession is not there in the recent list of 38 proffessions....experts please help in this topic.
you're confusing things.
1) your IELTS score band is not related to your profession;
2) If you or your friend applied in 2007, the list of 38 professions does not apply to you;
In other words, all you have to know is whether you had enough points (and you probably had, since you applied...), and wait for a decision. that's all.
well....its about my friend, not me...he is yet to submit his IELTS score to the CHC....he took the test once but scored less...so he wants to know how much he needs for his PR application...plz advice..
there's not a minimum. he needs to score enough to make 67 points.
in the CIC website you can find the conversion table, that is, how many points you get for each IELTS score band.
67 is the pass mark. Now calculate point through education, age, job experience, adaptability etc. factor. Deduct your cumulative point from 67. So you will find the point needed to achieve 67. That goes to the language point. In IELTS, you can achieve maximum 16 points, 4 points in each module. The current scoring system, Listening 7.5 = 4, Others, reading, writing and speaking module, 6.5 = 4, Hope is that clear to you now.
