IELTS score for spouse

My husband scored an 8.5 overall band score which will give him the maximum points - 24. Is there any benefit in me taking the exam now?

Hi,

Your husband gets 24 points for language proficiency (as the principal applicant). As an accompanying spouse, you also need to take the IELTS if you would like to contribute 5 more points under adaptability. However, you will only need to be at CLB 4, which should be easier as it corresponds to IELTS 4.5/3.5/4/4 for Listening/Reading/Writing/Speaking. Good luck!
