need some clarification.
When we run through CRS online calculator for EE, they have only in band ranges such as 7.5-9, etc. But when we create actual EE profile, it is asking us to select specific scores such as 6, 6.5,7,7.5, etc.
So how exactly this calculates? is it overall, say if you have got in Speaking as 7.5, is it considered in top band range '7.5-9' ?
Hi,
I got my IELTS results today overall 6.5
S L R W
7 6 6 6
I checked my eligibility online for FSW with these marks it said I am not eligible and should improve my language scores
Whereas in the Canadian Immigration site it says we get 4 points for this band. The below table is from the Immigration site
CLB Level Ability: Speaking Ability: Listening Ability: Reading Ability: Writing Points per ability
7 6.0 6.0 – 7.0 6.0 6.0 4
8 6.5 7.5 6.5 6.5 5
9 7.0 8.0 7.0 7.0 6
10 and above 7.5 – 9.0 8.5 – 9.0 8.0 – 9.0 7.5 – 9.0 6
I am confused whether I am eligible to apply or should retake my IELTS. Any help would be appreciated.
How to interpret results now?
i got
L - 6
R - 7
W - 6.5
S - 7.5
In CRC calculator, you give in Band range and it gives you a score but in EE profile, you need to enter specific scores. so not sure if we will get 2 different scores?
any idea?
